We help you do the hard thing with kindness

When we are faced with especially challenging situations things, we can get stuck not knowing how to act with care. We can fall prey to being superficial, avoiding people, or being overly harsh. This advanced 8-week program trains you to face difficult situations and people with increased confidence and compassion.

You will dig into two areas:

  • Connection to self:  How can I be certain that I'm doing the "right" thing?
  • Connection to others: How can I do the "right" thing in a compassionate and constructive way?

As a result, you will be able to bring fierce compassion to your interactions with others.

This program builds off of Foundations for Connection by going deeper in awareness and caring practices and working on more difficult challenges that you're facing right now. If you have not taken the Foundations for Connection program, you will be need to consult with us to ensure this program is a good fit for you.


  • Knowing when and how to let go of team members
  • Having difficult conversations with your team
  • Standing up to your manager about what needs to get done
  • Working in all-male executive teams

This 8-week program is designed to be integrated into your existing lifestyle and time commitments. It includes:

Two 90-min virtual coaching sessions, one 1-hr, and two 30-min virtual coaching sessions

At the end of the program, you will walk away with:

  • More confidence and practices for managing difficult interactions using compassion
  • Customized practice for managing and handling a specific challenge you identify
  • Increased compassion for others in service of generating trust
  • Greater ability to manage emotions while interacting with others in order to be fully present

What You Will Learn

We use neuroscience, meditation, and behavior change theory to shift how you interact with others.

  • Online content describes our approach, including the neuroscience research, and provides reflective practices to help you explore what guides your actions as you lead.
  • Experiential practices grounded in meditation and mindfulness help you become of aware of what you’re thinking and feeling and how that impacts your behavior.
  • Coaching helps to support you in learning and understanding new leadership behaviors.

You will learn advanced practices in:

  1. Awareness: Strengthening awareness of and managing your emotions and biases in difficult situations
  2. Caring: Actively managing fears around compassion, generating and strengthening genuine compassion for others you find difficult
  3. Action: Shifting how you behave in regards to your personal challenge, testing practices such as the first principles framework, using your intuition, having difficult conversations, and taking the long view
